Felipe Massa attributes Pole Position to the Neymar SoccerStarz given to him by his son!
Felipe Massa was the surprise name to gain Pole Position in the Austrian Grand Prix and in an interview for TV he attributed this to a SoccerStarz given to him by his son.
Given that the World Cup is currently in his home country of Brazil, his son gave him a Neymar SoccerStarz figure to be his lucky charm when Massa took to the track. And what a lucky charm it proved to be as Massa amazed the pundits to finish the days qualifying with the quickest time, meaning he would start on Pole the next day.
Following on from the qualifying result Massa wished the Brazilian squad good luck for the rest of the tournament and said he would do his upmost to win the Grand Prix the next day. He also said he felt the spirit of Brazil was behind him and that he was feeling good about the next day’s race.
Head of Marketing at Creative Toys Company, Andrew Welch said “It was great to see Felipe Massa with our Neymar SoccerStarz figure, being passed on by his son to be his lucky charm for the Austrian Grand Prix. Our Neymar figure has worked well for his race, as not only did Felipe get Pole Position but he also finished 4th in the race – his best result to date for this F1 season. We hope Felipe’s lucky charm brings continued success for him.”
